Unapologetically, Me.

Hi guys, my name is Alexandra Undem, but as many of you already know–I go by the nickname Lexie. I am 25 years old, I am married to my best friend, Shane, and we have two dogs: Nikita and Benelli.

We recently celebrated one year of marriage on September 1st–how cool is that?

I have often thought about writing a blog, and then thought, well, I don’t really have anything important to share. HOW MESSED UP IS THAT?! It’s sad that in today’s society you grow up comparing yourself to everyone around you–the girl in your highschool who was way prettier than you, your coworker who is better then you, the ladies at church who are move involved with you… The list of those you compare yourself to just goes on. and on. and on… All of these things lead to me to believe that what I was interested in, and what I was doing didn’t matter.

GUESS WHAT. THOSE FEELINGS AREN’T TRUE.

Something that I have realized in the last year, through a lot of support from my spouse and the rest of my support system is that every voice is important. Everyone has a story tell. So what’s mine? Throw in some childhood trauma, a tumultuous teenage love story that ended pretty rough, and a few too many drinks in college (sorry grandma), but the one thing I want you to know about me is that through so many life experiences I have learned that all I really want to do is make the world a better place. I want to leave each person that I interact with just a little bit happier, and their life just a little bit more full of joy from knowing me.

Sometimes, I am a bit emotional. I can get very passionate about things that are important to me, and all I can say is–I am unapologetically me.

Stick around awhile, you will hear things about life, family, friends, faith, and a whole lot more as I share my thoughts and hopefully receive feedback from you, too.

Thanks for being here with me.
