Ingredients
  

  • 5 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • to taste salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Boil the peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot or a large bowl.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth using a potato masher or hand mixer.
  • Stir in the butter and heavy cream until well combined and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm, optionally with gravy or other toppings.

  • For a fluffier texture, you can use a hand mixer to mash the potatoes.
