Equipment

  • Stove
  • Pan
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • One box Hamburger Helper® Cheeseburger Macaroni
  • 2.5 Cups Milk
  • 2.5 Cups Water
  • Handful Shredded cheese
  • Handful Chopped bacon
  • Roughly 1 Cup Homemade relish optional

Instructions

  • In a large skillet or Dutch oven, thoroughly brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease to ensure a lighter final dish.
  • Add the entire box of Hamburger Helper® mix to the browned beef and stir well to coat everything evenly.
  • Pour in 2 ½ cups of water and 2 ½ cups of milk, bringing the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for approximately 8-10 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked through. Remember to stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • While the pasta simmers, crisp up the chopped bacon in a separate pan. Once it reaches a golden-brown perfection, drain the bacon on paper towels to remove excess grease.
  • Now's also the time to shred your cheese and have it prepped for the cheesy grand finale. Once the pasta is cooked through, remove the pan from heat and stir in the glorious shredded cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and beautifully incorporated throughout the dish.
  • Time for the fun part! Top each serving of Cheeseburger Macaroni with a sprinkle of crispy bacon and a dollop of your favorite relish (homemade or store-bought, we won't judge!).

Notes

You can mix the relish in while cooking, serve as a topping, or both!
Bacon, cheese, and relish are totally optional - it tastes great without adding!
Hamburger Helper is great to always have on hand for a quick and easy dinner idea!
